Just read the review in MB&Y which landed today and my first thoughts are what an absolutely cracking boat and a stunning price (especially considering the punding the euro is giving us at present. Two good sized cabind, big hard top, two cockpit seating areas and a garage to boot!

What has left me a bit confused, and I think this is where MBM do things a bit better for Joe Normal is the final specs and prices given in the report. The article starts by (quite rightly) lauding the price at just under £210k which includes (from the article) 320Hp diesel Cummings engines, hard top with electric opening, teak decks, delivery, commissioning and 'a host of other features' which sounds like a very complete spec to me.

So why was the cpost of the boat they tested £277k? An increase of £67k over the standard boat. From the report it sounded like everything you would want comes as starndard, so what makes up the difference. Anyone know?

Saw it in the flesh at Ghent Boat Show last february. Great cockpit, but found space in the galley a little cramped. Absolutely stunning boat though, decent quality. They also come with the doors that shut off the cockpit - just like the 42S - between the two seating areas.

Ah ... IF

I had the money
SWMBO allowed me to

etc etc etc

I'm happy with my Bav 35 so far. There's always something else, isn't there. But the future is in displacement yachts if I may believe the words of the CEO of Azimut.

Dont get me wrong, i think the boat is superb. Just the article made out that the £210k was for a fully specced boat, then they sneak in the test boat was £65k more. I ws just interested to know what adds so much that isnt considered essentials.

the door option is also interesting, I really think that Jeanneau have there acts togather for the price you pay and is among the best value you can buy out there
the start from price and tested price has always been something of MBY since its inception, I think to make it better informative they should advise what this 50k is about in a list
