I have been looking for a boat to live full time, costal cruising and inland water cruising, automatically I excluded fly bridge option for air draught. But i came to learn that Jeanneau Prestige 36 has air draught of 3.45. The inland water way regulation is max 3.5m.. i suppose technically it is possible but seems just too tight gap to push it through..
does anyone know where exactly the 3.45 air draught is measured from the water line? is there anything can be removed to bring the measurement lower?

Air draft is measured from the waterline. But the water level can change.
Possibly the arch can be hinged to reduce the height.

Also bear in mind the published air draft does not usually include added items such as antenna or radar .

ahh ok. so it can mean that 3.45m is what it is, nothing else can be removed to lower the height.. I will go view it tomorrow so will measure it and see what happens.
