My boat is missing a number of nubbins used as part of door knobs:-

The nubbin's base is slightly larger than a 1p piece, maybe about 21mm.
The mind boggles how one manages to actually lose a nubbin, I can see they might come off but you'd keep it wouldn't you?
No doubt I will eventually find a stash of broken ones...

Does anyone know where I might find four or five nubbins?

Actually, knowing what they're called might help too.

A good hardware shop should have a selection, I think John Lewis do too but I'd check before travelling far to find out.

They should be easy to find, your problem is going to be matching the rest unless you change them all.

I'd simply call it a drawer / door knob.

These are still available from Jeanneau. You can order them from Trafford yachts in Plymouth (and probably any other Jeanneau dealer). Just be sitting down when the give you the price.

If you find them at a reasonable price somewhere please post. I decided I could get along without them at that price so I still need two.

By the way the reason they are not kept is that they have a tendency to split in half.

I remember (vaguely) the days of the little hardware shop where they had a thousand drawers with, apparently, every nubbin ever made by man, but I've tried 2 hardware shops, 1 DIY warehouse type thing, and 3 chandlers and come up with nowt. It is of course possible that none of them are "good" but I couldn't possibly comment.

"wooden door knob" might well be a candidate for the broadest possible google search term.
