Hello,

As the title suggests - which one would you choose? Each clearly has benefits vs the other, it would be great to hear some opinions on this.

Thanks

We have spent 5 years or so looking at the NC9 / NC11 / MF755 / 855 etc.
Every time we saw them at the boat show we thought "GREAT", but we never bought one as something was always "not quite right".
During those 5 years, we came up with things that WE wanted - may be different for others!
2 forward looking seats: If we are travelling, along the Thames, across the Channel, estuary hopping, then the navigator will want to be comfortable as well as the helm. NOT just a thin cushion on a hard plank.
We wanted to relax. So the lounging area while reading books in the early evening when on the boat was very important. - The thin cushions on some of the boats didn't encourage us.
We wanted to dine. The upright, squeezed in, dining areas weren't right.
We wanted to be able to holiday for a couple of weeks at a time. So a 2-burner, tucked under the helms seat, and nothing else was not good.
We wanted a bed that was comfortable. But it didn't need to be ultra luxurious, as when on holiday outside on the boat, then we wanted to be outside not tucked up in bed!

Last year at Southampton we loved the look of the English Harbour 29. And after talking to a very good Salesman at TBS boats at Bray, we bought one...

Congratulations:encouragement: Great looking boat, you will have a great time with her.
A lot of your criteria was very similar to ours when we chose the Swift Trawler 34, and I have no regrets, love that boaty look!

What's she called?

"One More River".
Currently, for the next 18 months or so, in Bray Marina. Then a couple of years exploring the South Coast... Then wherever we feel like it...

I suppose that at 6ft 1" I am slightly above the average height, but when I sat at the helm on an NC9 I couldn't see past the low roofline! It would have been okay when on the plane, but the rest of the time I would have got back ache squidging down to see where I was going! The NC11 didn't have this problem.

In which case, at 6'6", I am very glad we didn't get the NC9.
I am very surprised every time I stand up at the headroom on the EH29.

I've been looking at the same boats myself. Also at 6'6" I thought the EH berths were too short(we would use the midcabin and leave dinette/fore cabin to our triplet daughters). Did you get yours specially modified?

The Antares is probably the closest fit we can get, but that means us adults in the bunk berths (which are long enough for me, just).
