Hi all,
Not long until the 29th when we can all get back boating!

What batteries/battery do people have on their MF805’s? I’ve got a twin setup, leisure and starter.
What CCA (cold cracking amps) does the Volvo Penta TAMD41p require?
What amp hour leisure batteries are you guys using?
What’s the best battery charger to maximise life span?

Any info is much appreciated!
Thanks!

The only info I’ve found from Volvo is in the owner’s manual which specifies 140ah, no mention of CCAs. I’ve got starter and house batteries, both 180ah and 1100CCA (iirc). I wouldn’t want to go much smaller for starter battery.

Cheers Jamie. Is that 140ah for the starter?

I too have the same engine and have two 170ah 1000cca batteries. They had given great performance for 10 years and replaced them with exactly the same last year. They are not leisure batteries, they are engine starter batteries. My priority is engine starting and to have the same engine starting performance from the second battery. Thanks for the link, not as expensive as I thought!
