Has anyone got one/had one?
A mate is looking at a new boat around this size and has seen a couple he likes the look of.
Both are on the continent so before travelling there are a couple of questions someone might have answers to:

Is the convertible V berth big enough for full sized adults (6ft)
What is the performance like with D4/KAD44 setup

Lastly, does anyone around Portsmouth/Southampton have one who wouldn't mind showing us around for half an hour to get the feel if it.

Thanks

Not sure if you know this but they've got an unusual asymmetric cockpit with access to the foredeck down one side only. Hence they are a roomier boat that you might think (roomier than S23/25). I quite like them.

Plenty of experience with them. For their size, they're top of league for space IMHO

Plenty of space for a 6ft person in the convertible bow section.

As mentioned above, to the port, the walkway is large and easy to walk around, narrower on the starboard side.

Plenty of room in the engine bay (for its size) for working.

Only thing I didn't like is the electrics... very basic installation and almost always modded (no battery selector etc.)

Try to get one with the extended platform.

Oh and one big b1tch is the canopy... a total nightmare! No radar arch so you're starting from scratch every time you want to erect it.

My experience was with the KAD43 and while not a rocket, I remember 30kt (approx) speeds so plenty fast.

Also make sure you get one with trim tabs. Not so much for getting on the plane, but for keeping her level (not a standard option)

I looked at buying one a few years ago but discovered they aren't trailerable which at the time was a consideration for me.

Nice boats with a surprisingly decent hull. Not the best built boat out there but fine for the money.

If your friend is looking at one then consider a Beneteau Ombrine as well.
