my nephew is looking at one of these,14k euro,
75 hp honda on a trailer all 2 yr old,he is intending to use it as an inshore coastal runabout, any advice or experiances greatfully appreciated, thanks in advance.

I would say it will be perfect as a little coastal runabout if you are sensible on weather.

It would benefit from a slightly larger engine for popping onto the plane, especially if you have more than one other guest with you and they are sittingat the transom bench seat, but given a loght load it will be lots of fun.

I have a Jeanneau Leader 515 with a Evinrude 75hp E-tec. Great motor. The lighter 2-stroke really gets her up on the plain quickly and pushes her along nicely at 32knots with 3 adults on board.

Funny you mentioned a bench seat Nautibusiness, cause that's why I'm asking if anyone else has one. I don't have a bench seat, only two seats on the transom either side of the engine well. I want to add a bench seat so a can safely have 5 on board. I was quoted a small fortune for an OEM one so I was going to see about getting a custom 316 stainless frame and cushions made with a similar and if I can improve on the OEM design all the better.

Has anyone else done this or have some pics of the underside of the OEM frame?

...I am struggling to remember how the 515 seat fitted, but through the fuzz of thoughts I believe it's almost the same as on the 545 so I'll describe that.

Take two full beam and deep (seat and back depth) pieces of heavy nylon plastic.
Hinge these with sturdy hinges so that they can work as a bench or lay flat as a sunpad.
Underneath, fit two or three folding aluminium legs that retract when not in use.

In it's bench seat position the lower piece of plastic sits across the engine well and each end sits on a moulded lip on the transom and gunnel edge. It's kept in place with a couple of spring loaded, sliding bolts. The back rest simply sits against the transom and can be folded flat to the seat base if you need to lift the outboard for trailering.

To turn the seat into a sun pad you simply undo the sliding bolts and slide the seat base forward where it relocates in another lip on either side. The backrest now locates in the seat bases original position. Remember that you will now need to lower the folding legs of the seat base to give enough support for lardy people like me to lie on it.

Simples?!
