Jeanneau 6.5 WA

I used to have a cap Camarat 6.25 WA so quite similar.

Good bits

Easy access to foredeck with large cushioned area for lounging.
Wide cockpit
Reasonable cuddy with room for portaloo
Good seakeeping
Outboard powered

Less good bits

Not very sociable seating in cockpit, 2 bucket seats and rear bench
Very exposed to weather as tiny windscreen, not good for Solent chop!

I sold mine as I wanted better seating and big windscreen!

Thanks.. they do an accessory to the windscreen that would combat the first issue i think . In the newer model the bench at the back is a u shape . WAs yours just straight then ? Or wasnt the u ahape big enough ? Did you tow it ? Sorry for all the dumb questions....

Yes you can buy a spray hood type arrangement but it is not the same as a more wrap around cockpit with full canopy if required..
Bench was straight - U shaped are better for socialising in my view.

I did tow it on single axle trailer with Mondeo (200hp). Towed well but anything bigger would require 4WD.

Photo shows cockpit arrangement of current boat - but it is 23ft...Boat.jpg

Saver 690, an Italian brand not many in UK.

It's what a 23 ft outboard powered Fletcher would have looked like. Has separate WC compartment, fridge, sink hob. A great Weekender which suits me down to the ground.

Went from Hamble to Brixham and back at end of May, A round trip of 250 miles. Straight across Lyme Bay into 1.5 metre swell..
