Jay Craft Runabout 8 - Wheels

Hi all,

I have an 8' rigid grp tender made by Jay Craft of Rowlands Castle, Hants. that pulls along on three solid wheels (a bit like a marine Reliant Robin!) called a Runabout 8.

Trouble is one of the wheels has broken off its axle and despite the telephone number being printed on the transom plate I have been unable to track down the company to get a replacement. I can only assume they have sadly gone the way of many small boat builders.

Does anyone have any other clues I can go on or maybe suggest where I might be able to track down a spare. I'd imagine they are an off the shelf item somewhere.

Sorry, should have put some pictures up first.

I would imagine the axle size is about 20mm but I don't have a picture of the boat until I go to the club at the weekend.

Any help for a supplier is very much appreciated.
