Hmm ... my 10000 post.... and it's about blummin legalities and colregs!! Doh!
And Greenpeace have the monopoly on "saving wildlife"?
saw a TV prog only last week and apparently the Japs have thousands of tons of whale meat in frozen storage which they cannot shift as no one wants it anymore. Especially the young Japs. Maybe education is working and before long there will be no point in Whaling as there will be no market.
Although Sea Shepherd's spokesman claimed that Bob Barker was rammed by a japanese whaler the video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aI2C5TCuFMk tells a different story. From the video it is clear that Bob Barker was overtaking the japanese ship and then turned into her. Regardless of the issues about whaling, this is a clear breach of the IRPCS by Bob Barker which I find totally unacceptable.

Er ... not entirely ... as can be seen on this thread!!The only thing Sea Shepard does is gain sympathy for the whalers. Think Icelandic Gunboats and UK Trawlers.

conservationist or not is irrelevant. What these greenies are up to is just reckless and they deserve a good kicking in my opinion.
Of course it's relevant, they are demonstrating the courage of their convictions by taking direct action...
I'm on Sea Shepherds' side. They are doing nothing illegal. The Japs are. They are whaling (research, my arse) in a conservation zone.

That's right, and as a personal protest I've decided never to buy a product manufactured in the Faroe Islands ever again.

Um, I think this is a bit of a red herring. The original post is about a collision involving the Bob Barker from 2 days ago, and your video shows the Steve Irwin and was posted 6 months ago.
