Jaguar 27 main hatch.

My main hatch can be lifted clear of the wooden outside track. The GRP flanges on the side of the hatch do not fully engage in the track. Does anyone know if there was an additional section added to the underside of the flange to increase its width to engage in the track ... If so - what material - and how affixed

This is the sort of thing an owner has to sort out for themselves by common sense; not many secondhand boats come with a manual, and even those that do wouldn't cover simple things like that.

If you really can't sort it out by yourself your best hope is to google if there's a Jaguar 27 Owners Association.

I had the same problem on my Jaguar 21. I removed the tracks and registered so that the hatch ran along the grooves.

Warning - it's at least a 2 person job. I have the scars to prove it.

My hatch is as shown in the previous pic I think.
It certainly cannot be lifted out.

You could try asking on the jaguar owners association forum to see if anyone else has had this problem and how it was fixed
