Jaguar 21 lift keel version rudder

My purpose is trying to be helpful not snipe at someone who I feel has had an unfair kicking just because it seemed the thing to do; exactly like playground bullies and a lot of people should be ashamed of themselves for joining in the feeding frenzy.

I don't know the bloke and I like others thought he must be a novice with the questions he asked, but once we learned he is very experienced there are other possible explanations as to his questions which would not refelect well on a lot of people here.

I thought these forums are here so we can help each other, no matter if ' I've got a bigger boat than yours ' and all all that nonsense, I am not unique in having had bigger boats then deciding I preferred my smaller one, as a sailor; finances were not a factor in that decision, I happened to be earning good money and to have inherited but I still know a good boat which is enjoyable to sail and has carried me and chums thousands of miles, I will not betray my A22 chum again.

When a boat at my club was damaged and sinking, a rescue group quickly formed; one voice among 12 said ' I don't think we should get involved what with liability '

The then commodore ( it's an informal self help club ) fixed him with a laser stare, " As I see it, a club boat is in trouble, we help ! "

Best speech I ever heard, and I suggest should be relevant here; the purpose of the forums is to provide help.

As I said, a nice thing to do Seajet. Nice boat too, a friend had one, also on a drying mooring. It would be good to hear that you've been instrumental in getting the boat concerned back into use again. Do let us know if anything transpires.

Hi James_Calvert,

thanks.

The person concerned said they'd like the photo's even after the slanging, but they didn't leave their contact address apart from PM; I have been contacted by people wanting to use the pics as ammo' against the owner, which is not going to happen.

I haven't had the same feeling since I took cockpit photo's of Mig 29's & Sukhoi 27's ! :)

I am conscious of contravening the rule to not comment on closed threads, but make exception because your remarks already infringe that and require refuting. As one of the "playground bullies" I do not accept that ridiculous exaggeration of the responses and refuse to be "ashamed" of myself. I, among others, offered advice in a polite manner, which was rudely rejected. The "kicking" came from the OP, who referred to someone as a "shyster" and whose remarks probably caused the thread to be pulled. This thread should now return to the subject matter of lifting rudders, which I have no further intention to contribute to.
