I have a Wauquiez Centurion 32 with a nicely fitted out saloon in teak faced ply and trim which has become jaded over the years. It does not appear to have been varnished originally. Does anyone know what is the best way to re-vitalise such woodwork? Was it perhaps originally french polished or stained? Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

You really must first identify what has previously been applied.
If no varnish:
First restore some colour and graining, by sanding. Be careful not to sand through the veneer.
If timber oiled, apply new oil (teak oil) to bring up colour.

To keep colour/ grain:
Leave curtains closed when boat not in use.
Apply light coat of teak oil each year.
