Jabsco quiet flush blowback

We have two jabsco electric loos on
Casamara instead of the original manual ones,which were a pain.
These loos are very good but ,we are having an unpleasant problem with a nasty splosh of your own back ,on pressing the button .
Its only on one loo too.
Any suggestions as to how to cure it apart from keeping the lid down please.

That's the most likely thing, if not that then a blocked pipe or throughull all caused by calcium build up. If the joker valve is US then clean the pipe and throughull obviously with it turned off, it usually blocks before the valve.

It is possible to clean joker valves so they close properly but we always replace it, they do wear. Out of interest it is a choker valve but that name was patented.

We had a similar problem on our Jabsco LITE, which I fixed yesterday. As said above, the main cause was calcium encrustations, but at the elbow forming the downstream part of the joker valve assembly. Cleaning that, and the lesser growth on the valve itself, has returned it to its original performance.

Sorry to barge in on the original question but how to you rate the LITE toilet? Specifically the noise levels. I'm afraid, if I buy one it'll wake the dead when used at night.

It isn't terribly noisy due to the pumps but the air going into the impeller on the final flush can be quite loud. We don't flush at night to avoid waking each other.

Overall I don't think it's a great success and I suspect it is no longer made. I needed some small parts last year and was told by Jabsco that they were no longer available. Fortunately the man I spoke to knew where to find them from another design. I spoke to their person on the stand at SIBS, particularly about the toilet's handling of solids, which always requires two flush cycles. He was aware of the problem and I had the distinct impression that they were going to abandon the design.

Thanks for the information. It's still available as well as mentioned at their site.
The attractiveness of it is that is uses the same footprint as the manual version.
I did notice the prices being lower then the new 'silent' toilet they have.
I found that strange as the LITE version looks much nicer.

We like it a lot. It is very easy to keep looking clean, no difficult small radii where muck accumulates, everything enclosed. Other than the two flushes per poo, only a problem when we are using the holding tank, it's a great success. It does need a good clean out at the end of the season as the joker valve and elbow below seem to gather a lot of calcium.

We would not buy another though, since buying a Sea Lock on our other boat, cheap and works well.

We had a Jabsco silent flush fitted three weeks ago. After a few uses it was tripping the fuse and seemed to be leaking so back to the boatyard. On return it worked for a day and now refuses to flush although it fills with water well enough.
As they say - I haven't got a thing to go on
Marina cannot fix at present as their man is off sick this week so unable to use boat at all (I could manage,of course, but Mrs Loggo is more refined than I).
Anyone have any thoughts on the possible cause ? I am loath to mess with it myself but there seems no alternative,

Agree which bucket - be very clear about exactly what the red one and the blue one are for!
