Typical. Stop for a few days holiday on the boat and our toilet sounds as if it's about to explode.

Anybody else have heard this on their Lite Flush?

It's only about a year or two old and not exactly been heavily used.

Fortunately we also have the old manual pump job as well on board so not totally stuck.

Who has dropped what down the loo ?

£££s for a new waste pump I reckon......... a whole new manual toilet will be cheaper

I’ve had three of these. When they work they are great. Unfortunately they are not very robust. Inside there is a flimsy belt driven by a ridged plastic pulley. Neither are up to the job in my opinion. This sounds like the belt and or pulley is damaged which has happened to all of mine. The good news is you can buy a repair kit from Jabsco online about £35 ish. It’s not difficult to repair but the toilet should ideally come out to do it. Keep photos of how it all fits together as there’s not much room in there.
If you decide to ditch the toilet, they are a number of generic jabsco parts in there which are worth saving. There may be some you tube videos worth watching. This is a common occurrence.

Mine did a similar thing not long after I bought it, the original pulleys are plastic and had stripped, the replacements are aluminium. The other issue mine suffered from is the joker valve going rigid with age which then strained the motor.

I have an unused belt and aluminium pulleys that you are welcome to. Back home end of July.

Thanks vyv_cox for your kind offer. I will uninstall the toilet when I get back, next week and if it turns out the parts I need are the parts you have I will pm you. Thanks again.

Have had my lite flush for about 8 years, bought a spare belt and pulley kit but never had to use it. Noticed it had been getting increasingly noisy when emptying lately so decided to strip it down before it gave up completely. The bit that spins to empty it runs on two small bearings with a mechanical seal to stop the water getting to them. This had started to fail and corroded the bearings. You'll need a small bearing puller to take the bearing off of the shaft which pulls out from the bottom once you take off the plastic macerator(reverse thread) The pully is held on with a tiny allen screw(T3x50), remove that and then pull the other bearing of from the other end. The mechanical seal(works a bit like a deep se seal) has a ceramic face in a rubber outer that pushe into place and the other piece simply slides over the spindle of the plastic macerator. Assemply is simple the reverse and I replaced both pulleys with the metal ones in the kit, toilet now really quiet again!

I found a uk supplier for the bearings www.georgelodgedirect.co.uk, you'll need one MECH SEAL 0120.18.N.C and two 608 2RS TIMKEN bearings, total cost including shipping £21.28, I bought a spare set in case I need to repair it again in another 8 years!
