House rules #1s only but noticed that pan kept back filling (with likely a pipe full of water) when lever is in both inlet and outlet mode - going to holding tank.

Local suggestion was joker valve which I replaced and was part of full service kit. Am loathed to dismantle and replace all service kit items but in your experience is there something in that kit that will stop the "burp" or should I just go the whole hog and do everything... In 85 degree heat :-(

Go the whole hog. It could just as likely be the bottom flapper valve as the joker (choker?)

Jabsco heads are the only items on boats which haven't improved all the many years I have been sailing (other then the Twist n Lock - which doesn't do as it says on the tin).

Still as s**t as they were 40 years ago!

Go the whole hog and fit tecma or planus. Can believe you tolerate jabsco on a boat as nice as yours :D. Tecma+Planus eat #2 nicely - ref your house rule I can't believe you let your convenience come second to the jabsco's :D

Cheers.

Seems my house rule is ignored by the wife...

Looks like I am "going in" with the whole hog so wish me luck.. :@

Thanks Davidej. Chanced just the flapper gasket as a starter and that did the trick.

Happy days :-D
