Jabsco Joker Valves.

Would a loop in the discharge hose behind the bowl not get the level high enough to solve the problem?

No, because the tank is above the level of the heads, and the pipe from the heads goes to the top of the tank. It is the liquid in the pipe that flows back, not the tank contents.

WE replaced the electric conversion Jabsco toilet, which did suffer drain back, on our current boat with a brand new twist 'n lock Jabsco but the specialist toilet/holding tank guru we had actually do the job suggested an in line non return valve as well which he did install, not sure of the make but our local and renowned guru was area main agent for Dometiq so it might have been one from them. In any event all works fine despite our holding tank ( a vertical one, standard issue on a Benny Oceanis 36 ) being mounted well above the toilet height too.
