I fitted a new replacement "Twist and Lock Pump" to the heads the other week.

Now back at the boat the heads are leaking from where the base of the pump attaches to the bowl.

I replaced the seal and tightened the screws as tight as possible but still there is a leak

Is there a gasket sealer or something similar I can use to stop the leak ?

Any help greatfully received.

I'd use an ordinary bathroom sealant from Toolstation or the like. Since you're unlikely to want to paint it, a silicone one would be fine - no need to pay the marine tax. Not an adhesive, as you will want to get it apart at some point.

You shouldn't need any sealant. The gaskets from the joker valve upwards just need to be hand tight. Overtightening might be causing you the problems you have.

Possibly overtightened them.

Maybe already distorted by previous overtightening. If so a sealant as advised above probably the way forward.
Use a "bathroom" silicone as that should be mould resistant

There may be a split in the plastic if it has been over-tightened, as happened to mine when fitted by an over-enthusiastic Swede.

With all of the screws that screw into plastic on Jabscos, it is vital first to turn the screws anticlockwise until the screw thread 'drops' into the existing thread in the plastic, then screw in clockwise. This is to prevent the screw forming another thread that becomes unsecure.

It is important to follow the Jabsco instructions when removing and refitting the pump. If you do it in the wrong order it makes it difficult and can result in a poor seal. Also the advice above re starting the screws is vital. Failure to do this can result in stripped threads and parts needing replacement.
