We need to replace the pump aasembly on our sea toilet because the base is cracked and are considering installing the electric conversion kit. Does anybody have any experience with these? Thanks.

I had change manual to electric. It works good but very, very noisy.

Ooh, we've recently fitted one-

I did wonder why they called it "quietflush .

works well, freshwater flush model dribbles from anti-syphon valve on the solenoid.

Rather more soundproofing/rubber mounts & it'd be miles better.

sea-water flush one comes with extra pump & is even noisier, I imagine.

Jabsco switch a bit flimsy- terminal came off when removing a cable .

1.5-1" converter supplied is a bit big & ugly to be visible imo, I ran 1" to a new diverter valve with 1" in 1.5" out.

I've never had any problems at all with smells from seawater flushing - in fact, I was under the impression that seawater was a mild antiseptic and good at killing off smelly things.

What andyball is referring to is the 'pong' (Hydrogen Sulphide) smell which is apparent on the first flush after the boat has been standing for a few days. It is very common, even replacing the inlet & outlet hoses with the expensive 'No Smell' type hose often will not cure the smell.
It occurs because all the little critters and bugs in seawater in the inlet pipe die and hence the smell when first pumped. Replacing seawater in the inlet pipe with fresh water totally cures this problem. Some boats/toilets never suffer from this - if you don't you are one of the lucky ones!
I use a seperate 20l water container and a 'Tee'd' in pipe to fill my inlet hose after every trip - NO smells for about two years now.

Im really glad your quiet flush is noisy!!! Ive just bought a boat with a quiet flush. I was really looking forward to using it, then AAGHHH!! I thought it was broken and the pump needed replacing. Getting more used to it now.
