Came out out to new boat in Greece intending to fit a General Ecology NaturePure water filter (bought in adance) as I'd used one on my last boat and was very pleased with it. Got here to find a Jabsco Aquafilta fitted already. Does anyone have one of these and if so are they effective any good.

We have switched from the Jabsco to the NaturePure.

You will have to read the technical bumpf to find the real difference. To me the Jabsco is just a simple charcoal filter that does a good job of removing chlorine smell and taste.

The Nature Pure is a fine filter that sorts the chlorine and removes other impurities as well.

I've had the Aquafilta fitted for the last 20 years - replacement elements are getting ridiculously expensive and when I run out of the ones I bought as a cheap job-lot from a caravan shop I shall change the whole system probably to the Nature Pure.
As a taste-removing charcoal filter it works just fine and the elements last a whole year.
