EDIT - It's 37010-0090, can't edit title

Hi all,
I have a Jabsco compact toilet with above macerator pump. The pump is 'sticking' (and has been for some time). As in, I press the power button and I hear the relay click in (separate) and the lights dim, but no pump. This can be fixed (temporarily) by going to the back of the pump and turning the pump manually a fraction ... back to action!

I removed the whole lot today so have decided to replace the pump.

1) Can anyone advise where to source a replacement? (Ideally in UK / Europe)
2) These things are so loud (well known trait). Don't suppose there is a newer, less noisy like-for-like replacement? I'm not interested in changing the bowl for logistical reasons, just the pump.

Failing finding a replacement, can anything be done with these? When I try to move the motor by hand, it's not very tight, but it's far from 'free'

Many thanks! Pic attached:

Just to add.... I cleared out the blade section, which was full of crud / hair! Still didn't fix the issue.

However, looking at diagrams... maybe the issue is a sticky impeller? I assume these can be dismantled to replace the impeller?

Iirc you can get a service kit for the pump, which includes the bits you mention inc wearplate. I'd take it apart before buying anything though and see if the motor spins freely with the impeller housing removed. If not then just buy a complete new assembly. No after market replacement afaik.

Thanks for the info, JTB.

I went down to the boat and put some olive oil down the intake and spun it by hand. It freed up quite a lot. I am going to put it on 12v tomorrow and see if it runs smoothly. If it does, I then have the "should I replace it anyway while it's out" scenario.

Good to know there's a kit.

I was talking with a friend. Granted he's a mechanic rather than toilet expert. He said that motors do get 'lazy'. I'm quite well versed in electrics / electronics in general, but no motor wizz. It's 13 years old. I guess the 64k question is... should I just replace the whole unit? I'm going to start searching online for prices.

This sounds as though there could be a motor problem!

At £180 for a replacement well worth looking at it as it might just need the commutator to be cleaned and/or a new set of brushes.

but inspect the macerator and pump for any problems first
