Hey! I have a Jabsco 2.9 water pump and for some reason the pressure keeps dropping and it keeps turning on when the tap isn’t in use.
There is no leaks and after cleaning it no blockages, the water container has also been cleaned out so nothing can be blocking the non return valve, when I take it apart And blow into the non return valve it works perfectly, but then eve try time I put it back together the pump continues to go off when not in use!

any ideas of what it could be or what to do next! Thanks Carax

If there are no external leaks the pressure is leaking back through the pump

The valves in the pump need cleaning or replacing ( Valve kit is £14.50 from Jabscoshop )

If you dont have a filter/ strainer on the inlet to the pump it might be good idea to fit one ( See Jabscoshop)

This is caused by the valves inside the pump leaking slightly and allowing the pressure to reduce, so that the pump turns on again. You can buy a replacement valve kit which should cure the problem. I wouldn't bother trying to clean the valves, by the time you've dismantled the thing, it's easier just to replace them.

Thank you all! No Calorifier but I do have a boiler, off to buy A valve kit!

ill let you know how I get on x
Check that the relief valve on the hot water vessel (boiler, calorifier?) is not passing water. The pump should have a strainer upstream to exclude debris, which can hold one of the valves open giving the symptoms you describe.
