In my Sealine S24 I have the jabasco manual toilet and it seems to not pump out the bowl well. So I thought time for a service kit.

looked on line ant the kit looks to cost about £38 but not sure how big a job it is. It also seems that you can buy a complete new toilet for £139 and the pump assembly for £60 seem to me it is not worth messing with the service kit.

what are people’s views in this regard

thanks

totally agree, plus you are not guaranteed another part will not leak, bite the bullet and buy a new one, much easier to swap out too, couple of pipes and you are done.

A stated above, replace the pipes while you're at it. The outlet pipe in particular can get blocked with a mixture of salt water and uric acid which sets like concrete.

We have a recent Jabsco toilet that became very hard to pump out. Problem is not the toilet but a pipe blocked so badly there was only a 5mm hole in the middle of the limescale.
Whilst you still have some emptying capacity try to clear it with an appropriate cleaner by pumping it through.

Ditto. I also had to clean the stop cock outlet which was also blocked with uric acid crystals. Defo do this before replacing and parts

What do recommend as an appropriate cleaner?

Or you could take the opportunity to get the electric bolt on conversion for about £350
If you have a bow thruster linking to the bow thruster battery makes a really easy job.
WARNING
They are incredibly loud.

As has been said many times on these fora, the fundamental problem is insufficient pumping after having a p**s. Jabsco recommend 8 strokes of the pump for every metre of pipe between the toilet and the seacock. Less than this means urine + seawater are sitting in the outlet hose and you get crystal deposits which eventually block the pipe.

In our years of cruiser ownership we have never had a problem with pipe blockage, but we have always adhered to the 8 pumps+ per metre rule.

Or the cost of the bolt on conversion you could buy a whole new one
I believe they do one that fits the same footprint
