Dont get an expensive one unless its Miele. I would buy the cheapest smallest one and renew it every12-18 months sailing time so that would be 3-5 years of normal med cruising perhaps.
Mate of mine lived on a Spray with wife and 2 kids, doing exactly this for 8 years. He used the larger size barrel - but the same principle.

Another one, what is it about liveaboard you don't understand? I think we are talking about 24/7 365days a year. Not a couple of months summer cruising!!![]()

I bought a fridge from Appliance Online last week and it arrived the next day as promised. Ordered at lunch time and it arrived at 0845 the next day and we were their EIGHTH drop off that morning.I just happen to have a used Euronova mini washing machine in the garage.Paid £100 for it last year to fit into Benney 44cc,but change of plans have made it surplass to requirements....

Wash the sailors way in a bucket, fill bucket with clothes, water and detergent to taste, leave for a few hours to soak then agitate a bit, rinse a few times and hang out to dry, simples as they say.
