I\'VE BEEN CENSORED

WARNING - DO NOT OPEN THESE LINKS IF YOU ARE LIKELY TO BE OFFENDED BY WORKS OF ART
OR YOU ARE OF A NERVOUS DISPOSITION
'My little picture' of Two Friends has given offence to THE MANAGEMENT and I've been requested to change it, because a thread (Now Pulled) Nigel B Naked was posted on Practical Boat Owner's Reader to Reader.
I replied to the post pointing out that 'My little picture' was not of me but a painting by Tamara de Lempicka
I then said that I was more like THIS in my youth.
This must have aroused a dormant purity in some people, and as you may know, any form of arousal can make the blood pulsate hard in the veins. It all came to a head and apparently complaints were made.

Even the Nazi's only censored BOOKS by flames, I think their method of censoring ART was to collect it all up and take it home.

Have I exceeded the bounds of decency and propriety?

THIS IS CENSORSHIP:

Good!

Come offit, yor pics were soft-porn boundary-pushers, and you've found a boundary?

Hey- I found the boundary in other directions. For example, Scunthorpe is now okay, but used to read S{CENSORED}horpe. Mind you, using *c_nt***** is a bit strong, innit, hence the self-censorship...

Re: Good!

Agree
Mind you Nigel - its having the boundary pushers in life that helps the middle of the roaders like me know where the Kerbs are

Claymore

What on earth

Are you doing letting her into what is patently a gentlemans club?
Shame on you sir - blackball offense I believe - could lead to an EGM and goodness knows what

Claymore

Re: I\'VE BEEN CENSORED

Come on... in your dreams!! Not even in your youth.

Amazing how a bit of graffiti can last so long!!

(I don't have to agree with YOUR opinions, but I'll defend your right to express them).

Ulp!

I wasn't aware I had broken a local rule. I beg forgiveness of the committee and promise that it won't happen again.

I say, would you mind passing the word for the butler old boy.

Regards

Magic

Re: On Nigel\'s side

I still can't get my head around this. I've just had to look at an enlarged piccie of "Two Friends" (not a pretty sight) to see if I've missed something as it is now being described as soft porn. CLOSE ALL ART GALLERIES, ALL LIBRARIES & MOST MUSEUMS.

It looks as though my reply was too!

I replied with a very proper response (an apology if my original post caused the problem).

My reply has not appeared here, it might have been on the other IPC board however - will check.

It jusy makes life difficult if people put the same post in two or more boards!

Re: On Nigel\'s side

I agree, soft porn indeed!
I believe the Victorians did allow the grass to grow on the giants pride.
Can't stay, I got to go and put little skirts on the legs of my computer table.

Re: PAIN IN THE ARTS!

While we have this general agreement that the forum must be purified
it's about time to have a close examination of Masaccio's portrait: what
disgusting thoughts are going through the perverted mind of this twilight
character??? This is precisely the cause of what undermines our civilization -
you don't know what's going on!

Re: Good!

Standards!

I just heard Humphrey Lyttleton say on the new digital radio channel BBC7,

"I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue, the radio programme that did for comedy what Gareth Hunt did for rhyming slang"

Listen tonight at 8pm, or on Radio 4 for one evening only
