Don't know if it's on in other regions. Documentary about the Suevic service where pulling lifeboats rescued over 500 people in 1907, the largest in the history of the RNLI.
Apparently the fairly new passenger liner was grounded on rocks in fog at full speed.The enquiry suggested that if they had taken soundings with the lead line the disaster could have easilly been avoided.
