Ituna of Dublin

[Silverado]

A friend has asked me to post this request re the yacht "Ituna of Dublin". This boat is featured in this month's PBO pages 136-138.

She has had a very colourful life since her launch in the Clyde in 1912. She has crossed the Atlantic at least three time. He, my friend, sailed her from Greece to South Africa in 1974 and was fascinated to see the article in PBO.

His information was that she was last seen for sale in Annapolis in 1980. Does anyone know what has become of her since?

Hello, I read your message with interest, as I authored the article in the May edition. Not much of a reaction, I'm afraid, and the search goes on. I am trying to see if the article can be syndicated in the US, where (if she is still afloat) in all likelihood Ituna still is.

I'd be interested in getting in touch with your friend who crewed her in 74. It would be good to put together a fuller account of her voyages.
