at last, after months of planning today is the day that we set off on our biggest adventure with Cal yet. Just seven and a half hours to go before we are set free for the week and head for the North Norfolk coastline.

The plan so far is that a few of us are setting off from Burton Waters this evening at around about 7pm with the intention of reaching Bardney Village moorings. This would mean that we have the two locks between Lincoln and Boston done and dusted tonight and then tomorrow, with the weather looking wet for the day, we have a straight run down the Witham to the Boston visitor moorings. The intention being that we have a night out in Boston on saturday and then have a quiet day on sunday to see the town and recover.

The the adevnture begins, the rest of the troop should by now have caught up and at 6.20am on bank holiday monday we head through the Grand Sluice and out into the Wash estuary heading for Wells next the Sea. If all goes to plan we should be on this pontoon

at around 9.30am on bank holiday monday. Hopefully after a lot of the bank holiday boaters have vacated. The plan then is to have a day in Wells seeing the sights. We then plan to explore the coastline on the Wednesday with a spot of sea fishing and eventually leave Wells on thursday evening arriving back at Boston at around about 9.30pm Thursday night. We will then have a couple of days to get back to Burton Waters before heading out to watch the Bootleggers play at The Sun Inn, Saxilby next saturday evening.

Has all the makings of a great week or an ultimate disaster!!!!
