It\'s hard to catch up...

... with the forum when we have been away.

We have been on board SV2 since May 29th till today pm (it started raining) except a quick spin home for my 50th birthday party at home organised by MrsSV.

The time on board included a weekend in Arklow for the Metmasts.ie Turbines Yacht Race which we sponsored - several days at anchor until late in the evening - a run to Carlingford - mixing it with Fitzie on his Man52 - anchored again in raft with MrA (Gobbi 345SC) and Hummingbird (Fleming 55).

Lots of photos to follow when uploaded to photobucket.

10 hrs home now and can't wait to get back to SV2 on Friday - jeez, I think we're hooked /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Re: It\'s hard to catch up...

OK, seem to have caught up now. Clients happy again, the sun is shining and it's time for a wee bit of R&R - well I have a sore typing finger and Doc recommends salt /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: It\'s hard to catch up...

This is Lynda who was one of our guests on board SV2. She stepped on board 8 1/2 months pregnant.

Baby "Katy" was born three hours later /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Re: It\'s hard to catch up...

Great pics SV, thanks for taking time to post. Stunning weather, has Ireland gone all tropical? You'll be saying "Who needs the Med" next. BTW, for next time your guests get caught short, there is IIRC a 2-page guide (with diagrams) in Reeds Almanac on delivering a baby at sea

Re: It\'s hard to catch up...

Ah, now, that reminds me. I have the aft sofa cushion cover set off my prev Sq58 clogging up a space in awardrobe somewhere. In white blue stripe, just like your Corniche. I'll send em to you. They wont fit but if you have sewing machine etc you could adapt them?

Re: It\'s hard to catch up...

Couldn't miss that mod! All the SS work around the seatbacks is custom. What's the story? Why the mod?

Because I was indoors working while you were enjoying yourself for a month on your boat.

They really are very nice pics.

Yip, a couple of reasons.

The original hoops are one of the few things that Fairline get wrong imo. They are weak to the point that I broke one when holding on during a tight turn.

My mods have kept the back rests but higher for better support + full width handrail + we have a cover which slips over the whole lot keeping our backs warm during winter cruising.

Very safe and comfy now /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Have a look at the Arklow North Cardinal pic above - see the back rests are in the idea position now.
