No it is certainly no excuse and I am actually surprised that your insurance paid, I would have thought it to fall under the insurance of the boat yard. Glad to hear your boat is fixed now as it must have been a real ordeal.

We've been asking the Messolonghi Marina for their insurance for more than eight weeks after the accident happened. We never ever received any indication or response to this request. To my opinion they - at least in these days - had no insurance at all! This is the only reasonable explanation for not naming it.
