Its been a long time coming but....NEW BOAT

Congratulations Jez

We are at anchor at the moment in one of those little calas on the south of Menorca.
Not the one we went in with you but I'm getting bolder anchoring now.

Looking forward to catching up with you again and seeing your new baby in tge flesh - so to speak.

Well done

Mike and SWMBO

Dual intakes are probably as emergency bilge pumps ... so that raw water pump for engines can be switched to drawing water from the bilges ...
Correct. Ferretti fit that on all of their boats. Something you hope never to find out whether it works:D

Woo hoo, well done Jez. She looks to be in fantastic order for her age. I like the classic Ferretti gloss cherrywood finish too; in fact I think I prefer it to the current minimalist style. Mapism is right. This boat was built at a time when Norberto Ferretti was focussed on constructing boats built like brick outhouses rather than fleecing venture capitalists so she should have plenty of life left in her

Like baylabayla3288 we first noticed the Ferretti brand when we parked next to a 150 in La Napoule in SoF. Maybe this is the same one?

Congratulations and looks a fantastic boat, love the quality of material. She's a pretty big boat and a bit different from the MF 855 you'd thought about! Hope she runs as well as she looks and you get precious boating time. Keep the pics coming from your travels.... Enjoy

oops, I almost missed this thread,
many congrats Jez,
nice boat, and appears to be in very good condition
now you're there, I can thorrowly advice to make a short trip, or lunch stop, in red dot bay, Sanary Sur mer and Cassis,
good luck and nice voyages with her !

why is the azimuth in your signature ?

Well done Jez,

That is a proper little Ship. Built to a quality and spec that would be unaffordable now. For every 5 dodgy Med boats there is always one peach and she looks cracking! Enjoy the Med, definitely a different way of boating.

Good to see you're having a more positive experience, the boat looks great.

I've just read about your previous attempt, is there any update regarding your deposit?

Crikey I missed this post (though I knew you'd got the boat) because it was in middle of holidays. That's a completely fantastic machine you have there Jez - well done and many congratulations. I think you've done a smart thing in getting a bigger boat than you were first thinking of, because there is no substitute for volume when you start spending a couple of weeks holiday on her with family etc. And to get one in such outstanding condition is icing on cake. It even has an internal fly "staircase" or at least access hatch (all praise to Norb, and his pre-private equity days!). Good going, and well done putting the other sketch behind you
