Just an update on my toilet problem, it was the joker valve/duckbill. The toilet is a Tecma Compass from the compact range. The one way valve assembly unscrews and the joker valve can be swapped out with a Jabsco one. £8 fix and dead easy.

Was the Joker valve easy to get to on the Tecma? One of my many complaints about the Jabsco 'pretty pretty' range is the Joker valve is completely hidden away behind the main china unit so you have to take everything apart to get to it..

You have to slide the toilet out. If it was installed properly this is a 1 minute job.

I can do 1 minute jobs! That would be a huuuuge improvement on my current setup.

It is that simple, undo 2 bolts from the pedestal, slide it out, loosen 2 jubilee clips, open the valve and there it is.

Is the Tecma Compass model as quiet as the Silence slightly larger variant? Im looking to replace my not so quiet Jabbies this year & could fit either.

I don't need a sloping back as there will be space behind as there is a sliding door to some storage directly behind.

I don't know how quiet a silence is, but the compass is not what I would call silent. Noisy is how I would describe it.
