today that Hancock's 1/2 hour was first broadcast - can't remember that, but now on Radio 2 is a a celebration of one of the best episodes. Worth a listen IMHO!!

If you like Hancock, I'd recommend listening to "Getting Nowhere Fast", which begins a repeat of its third series on Radio 4 at 6.30 this evening. Mervyn Stutter, who writes and stars in it, is rather like a modern-day Tony H. and his target audience ("Menopausal Flower Children Everywhere") should strike a chord amongst some of those assembled here. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Recorded live before a partisan audience at the Theatre Royal Winchester! Great stuff.

All right, I confess: he's a mate. But listen anyway.

You can tell your mate that I thoroughly enjoyed it. I listened to the show in the car during a 4 hour search for a hotel in Manchester.

I'll study the MU fixture list for next week's visit. /forums/images/icons/crazy.gif

Glad you enjoyed it. I think he's under rated - but then, like I say, he's a mate.

The hotel hunt sounds like a real bummer. Have to admit that we don't often get accommodation problems caused by mid week International club games in Southampton /forums/images/icons/smile.gif.
