Simrad Robertson below deck hydraulic pilot. The ram HLD 350 is a first rate piece of engineering. Its the only pilot I have ever had that will handle the boat in any weather on any point of sail.
The Manson anchor is good no doubt, but I havent used it enough to rave about it.
Those fancy expensive Lewmar winch handles that allow you to get both hands on the handl;e. Amazing just how much more effective they are.
The IBM Thinkpad lappy that has outlasted my l;ast three boats on the same battery. And was second hand in the first place!
For winter racing, the two piece flotation suit from Cosalt. From memory not much more than £100 for both pieces, and the foam sandwich makes sure that I am toastie behind the wheel whatever the weather. Indeed, there have been times when I have been too hot in January races.
