Well guys we moan and moan when all May brought was more cold and wet weather .
Was it ever going to get warm? .
be careful what we wish for .
It's touching 38 c to day in the north of Italy , the little wind we getting blowing through the cockpit is hot too .
Even jumping into the sea isn't really doing the job to cool us down .
Beer get warn no sooner it touch the glass , even the ice start to melts as your trying to get it out of the ice tray .
It's hot nights where sleeping down below isn't doing the trick , so it's mossy covered cockpit for the four night running .

We drove back across Europe a couple of days ago and when we left Croatia at 7.00 in the morning it was already 30 degrees. In itself, that's not so unusual although it's more usual for July and August. However, when we hit the highest point of the alpine crossing, the thermometer was 37 degrees .... and 37 degrees at 4000 feet in certainly not something we've ever seen before. As we came down to lower altitudes, we hit 38 degrees and it only really cooled down once we crossed the Channel.

We drove the same route 5 weeks earlier in late May and were driving through snow storms all the way from Munich to Lubljiana .... and we've never seen that before either.

There's something going on with the weather.

For those that don't like living with four seasons, try the Tropics. Then you only got two, the wet and windy one plus the extremely wet and windy one. :encouragement:

All with Betty Swallocks.

I don't often 'do' many foreign harbours but in 2017 I spent a week in Slovenia at Portoroz Harbour. A really nice well run friendly harbour, full of people who are very keen to help if required. It was also tremendously hot, asking if it was always like this the locals said it was normal. I think I'd like to spend some quality time in that region.
