isp with local access in France

Has anyone found an ISP (other than AOL) which allows local access in France on a GSM phone? I know AOL do it but they don't allow Outlook or similar to automate mail retrieval and delivery. What's this got to do with boating? Well when I'm on my boat in France (etc etc etc)

I'm not sure how well it works with GSM, but I have used Pipex's roaming service in various partss of the world. See http://www.dial.pipex.com/services/roaming/

Unlike AOL, there is no supplement for overseas use.

....and should you have no luck there, you could try Vianetworks(www.vianetworks.co.uk). They have a range of UK national call numbers that are accepted for use overseas. Its an 0870 range that can be dialed from 65 different countries, which includes France.

This year in France i used www.net2roam.com
Which will give you access via a local server at local rate.
Was very good service and you use your own isp or theirs!
However you'll haveto keep an eye on costsas with all systems
