Has anyone taken one of these apart for repair. How difficult was it to remove the insulation.

Do you have the rectangular ones? I replaced the element in mine, quite easy to pull apart once I got it out of the place it is attached to. Why did they put it there when there is a HUGE cockpit locker on the other side of the bulkhead? A simple box would have protected it.

Very simple it turns out. One nut to remove the immersion heater and find a split gasket. Looks like a manufacturing error. Also found the trip 're set which I didn't know was there.
