Has anyone else got tickets for this year's IoW festival?

Last year we went to Reading, but fancied IoW this year as the tickets are half the price and we can enjoy a nice sail across too. We're not taking the boat up to Newport as it's ridiculous money - but will leave it elsewhere on the island for the weekend, catch a bus to the festival and camp.

It'd be nice to meet up with others who have sailed across.

Lots of us, my merry crew and several other forumites are coughing up the incredible fees for Island Harbour. It is dead handy for the festival site, and if you share the cost between four, or more, and speak the number quickly, after a lot of drink it, urmmm, doesn't sound too bad.

Might see you there.

Or do what we do and spend the weekend anchored by the festival (as long as you can dry out) - free mooring and free festival - stay out of the main channel the Harbor Master is happy. It is a great atmosphere and although they have moved the stage slightly you still get a great view.

Yeah, we'll be there again. tbh, once we've deducted the £20 per person saving from not camping, the island harbour rate isnt so bad and is well worth having the better showers, proper loos and avoidance of public transport queues. But then, our boat may be significantly shorter than yours....
