Isle of Wight | Cowes | Folly Reach advice

You have to be resident within 7 miles of the town church for the duration of your mooring licence and I think you will find there is a waiting list for the bigger berths.
Many locals move their boats onto the walk ashore pontoons for the winter months.

Also worth pointing out that at the Folly Reach moorings, over the winter you can move your boat from a swing mooring or one the more distant pontoons up to the visitor pontoons opposite the Folly Inn. Much more convenient in your dinghy.

I've been very happy keeping my boat here the last few years. It's sheltered, convenient for the Solent, a beautiful location. And a reasonable price. For a small, older boat like mine it would be crazy to pay for a marina berth.
