Amazing. You're right!

It is a nice view of Essex - you can hardly see it /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Wheres that slipway and what sort of size can it take. I'm getting sick of the one at Gillingham. Its a bugger to swing the boat onto. Plus the fact its so shallow and theres nowhere to tie up. That looks a bit steeper.

The web site says it all really, slip will be too small for my boat and only for club dinghies. Oh well looks like its still gillingham open sewer then.

Why would anyone want to look at webcam pics of Sheppey? I lived and worked in the area some years ago. We used to say that if Kent is the "Garden of England" then Sheppey was the outside toilet:-)

Re: Re......Oi lay off Sheppey.

Sorry Oldgit,

Perhaps Sheppey's improved in the 15 years since I was last there. Back then Sheerness was more like Sheer Hell. Come to think of it, it wasn't just "The Island" that was horrible. Sittingbourne, with it's papermill and accompanying stench, was a festering sore on an otherwise beautiful county. Oh crikey, I'd better stop digging or I'll need to invest in a tankerload of woodworm killer:-)

Bill.

Re:Sheppey.........

Things have improved no end here on Sheppey. We have got 2 new...er....prisons and a nice new sewage farm and the paper mill in Sittingbourne has not caught fire for ages and ages and we had a baby porpoise over at Leysdown recently,..........................................alright,admittedly it was dead and somebody had shoved it in a telephone booth, but whos bothered by details./forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Re:Sheppey.........

An article in our local paper reported that a baby porpoise/dolphin has been found in a telephone box.The council Enviomental dept said...etc ......etc.
Look there is not a lot to do round here during the winter months/forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
