TT2020 cancelled

Any visitor has to self isolate for 14 days. As a member of the frontline services I think it’s a good and bold move. Not without its adverse impacts of course but the alternative could/would be worse.

at least it’ll keep the Welsh lot away.....every cloud and all that

That's a shame as we had a plan , bruce has bought 30 miles of rope , he was going to tie one end of the rope to Conwy faiway buoy and one to his boat then we travel together for 30 miles then he is going to ring kwackers to un tie at the faiway buoy , winch it in then I take the rope to Douglas tie off and Bruce follows us to Douglas winching the rope in on the way. That way he will never be off a mooring rope !!!!! so safe.

Good plan!

I’m hoping they let me out the marina if I promise I’m not going England or Ireland...or Northern Ireland.....or Scotland. They wouldn’t worry about Wales....no one wants to go there! ?

Do you have a reference for the above ? Just that from my reading of the IoM Government page I don't read as that. Thanks.

Thats bollixed a few moves up
I have actually been stranded there before
But that , My Friends. Is another story!!
;):rolleyes::D

Another story? After having you crew one way it takes a saint to take you as crew for the return leg. I'm sure this story has been repeated many times!

Just admit you're scared of the pirate horde induction ceremony. Surviving the infamous Mandy's Measure and swimming with jelly fish in 10C water while the rozzers berate you for disturbing the peace despite being a mile out from the nearest village is not for just any simpering dandy. :D

Apart from my mediocre meanderings around the TT course in the 70's, I spent a fair bit of time there with my old mate John D.
He represented the IOM at seven sports disiplines from his schooldays to manhood. If the IOM had had an Olympic Drinking Team, he would have been the coach!
He and his mates in the North of the Island, many from the Grasshoppers Cricket Team - you know who you are - taught me that the IOM has a lot going for it if stuck there for a while...............................................
