Absolutely, as before everyone welcome, the crack is great and lots to do. People seem to shy away from the Island sometimes and scoot past, but once you've been everyone seems to keep coming back.

Thinking of doing Malahide this summer, have relatives living in Kinsealy and Howth. Do we book ahead or just rock up, did the bar ever get dredged, seem to remember it was a nasty bit of water with wind over tide (many moons ago).

Where ever I've been, Ireland, Scotland. Southcoast. France or where ever. Ive just turned up. Never been turned away. Never not found a mooring. Ok maybe not the best one, even in the silly isles in summer. But quite good enough.

OK then, looking forward to it. I will have a chat with SWMBO and put a plan together. Malahide is no problem to enter - new channel markers this year - can be slightly rough with E wind against full ebb spring - only for a short distance at the bar though - keep within +/- 4hrs either side of high and you will have no problem - if arriving outside this time, sound depth at SWM and deduct 2m. Also, I have never known visitors to be turned away even during Bank Holiday w/e at high season. If you prefer, PM me and I will get you a good spot. Maybe we can cruise in co from IoM?.
Kinsealy / Howth eh! Good to have wealthy relatives /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif - Malahide very close to Kinsealy. Howth may be full during busy season, visitors often turned away. Call first.
