With a number of different island nationalities, should the yellow flag be permanently bent on and ready to hoist?
I don't think that the OP is suggesting that it should be flown continuously but simply that it should be lowered and ready to fly.
No need to equivocate, Richard. The OP's "bent on and ready to hoist" indicate beyond any ambiguity that you're right.
That's what we did basically the boat is in territorial waters only after it has cleared in.
One of the pleasant things about preparing a boat in Europe to go on a Caribbean cruise is getting loadsa courtesy flags for exotic destinations.
Tip. The cheapest ones are in Spain. :encouragement:
Might find cheaper down the island market after checking in, bandanna of local flag with couple minutes sewing - worked most places from memory anyway and dead cheap![]()
