couldn't find a topic on this so here goes......
I have an Simrad IS20 Wind instrument that looks like water has go in at some point (lots of condensation on the glass). Its finally packed up. Given that this is a repair by replacement item I though I would have a go at opening it up and seeing what the issue is. Its would be going in the bin in any case so nothing to loose.
Has anyone else had a go and is it, in fact possible, or is it totally sealed?
I have been looking to replace. The IS20 wind has all the functionality I need but is there an alternative that is solid state so no mechanicals to worry about? I like the analogue style display though.
