Locks in sea air are a real problem. On the one hand you want to coat the mechanism with oil or grease to minimise corrosion and stop moisture. On the other hand the oil collects dirt particles which can jamb up the tumblers and mechanism. WD 40 has an oil in suspension in a solvent. The solvent tends to clean and carry the oil. So I would suggest WD 40 might be a good compromise. Certainly the other products can be far more effective as a coating but then may be more likely to clog the lock. If you go WD 40 use it often. good luck olewill
