Hy
My boat is 12 years old. Everithing is OK.
Nevertheless I am concerned with the humidity acting on the instrument panel located outside on the cockpit.
May I use wd40?

Thanks in advance for suggestions.

WD stands for water dispersant and thats what it does very well. Its fine for getting rid of the water that is there but you need something else for long term protection.

Dont use WD40. Previous posts have suggested that the letters and numbers stand for "water dispersant 40 " meaning it has a 40 day life. From practical experience I do not like the stuff which seems to stop working after a while and builds up more and more of a sticky / dirty layer over time.
Others have recommended better options in earlier posts

Other uses for wd40 include removing chewing gum from fabric and restoring the shine to black plastic car bumpers.
