Folks have asked for some sort of regional view of boats on yourboatpix, now that it is getting bigger. I thought of several schemes and realized that each one re-invented Google Earth.
What we have done is to add Lat Long fields to Upload and Edit pages. We will add a "View From" page so you can "fly" over Solent, East Coast, Wales, Scotland and other areas where we have pics of boats. Here is a prototype http://www.yourboatpix.co.uk/kml.php (this is work in progress, not the final page)
At present only about half a dozen boats have Lat Long (added by me by inference and guesswork) and they have a Google Earth icon in Browse and Search. Can I ask uploaders to add Lat Long in future where they know it? If you can recall Lat Long of pictures you have already uploaded you can go back and add it now. This will allow your pictures to be shown in the Google Earth views.
