is this waterproof tablet good for navigation?

Hi All,

I just saw an article talking about the Fujitsu Arrows Tablet (Fujitsu NTT DoCoMo ARROWS Tab LTE F-01D). As you can see in this article they could be very well suited for use on a yacht as navigation screen, claiming to be fully waterproof, links shows them in a fishtank (http://www.computeractive.co.uk/ca/news/2155805/fujitsu-demonstrates-waterproof-tablet-smartphone ).

Does anyone have any experience with this tablet? Is it any good in sunlight? I presume navionics works on Android?

That article is a year old and says: "Sadly, the Fujitsu spokesman we spoke to didn't know if the Arrows waterproof devices, currently available in Japan, were even coming to the UK, never mind pricing...". Has anything changed?

There is a Hong Kong seller punting them new on Ebay for about £435 plus the add-ons. Current advert.
Nothing to do with me but I might consider one if my Galaxy got drookit.
My only concern would be that quite a few tabs coming from China have less than the full Play Store licensing so it isn't possible to load Navionics. That may be an undue concern... Fujitsu is a well established brand.

Fujitsu is Japanese. Compared to China that usually means higher prices, better quality and better support.

That's if it is a genuine Fujitsu and not a Chinese "copy"...

The fact that it is waterproof is amazing... sorry so outdated..
