Thanks, blueglass. FWIW, the annual cost at Gouvia for a 15m berth is less than half of what I'm paying in Palma, Majorca. I know that Solent marina prices are close to Majorca prices so again, Gouvia would be about 50% of the cost

Colin you're right and the Espalmador anchorage in Formentera is equally clear blue although, I suppose EME is right to say that this is because of the lack of organic life

Probably because the phytoplanktonic life can't get any sleep at night thanks to all those boat owners shining underwater lights at them /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
