I have just realised what happened a few years ago on the date I am planning to put Karouise back into the water - 28 March

It was 28 March '09 Flipper went back in the water. Her season ended when she was lifted two weeks later with significant cracks in keel.

Still I guess it all turned out alright in the end! Maybe I shouldn't look through old log books.

Be ever so careful when launching Peter, the keel will hit the ice first on launching so ensure that it is fully reinforced for icebreaking and similarly the Bows as it is quite a trip through the harbour 'Growlers' from the slip at Morgan's back to your berth.
